We noticed that everything in the meadow was glowing pink, so we ran outside. What an incredible sunset!

Falls
Sylvia has a view of the lower falls above the pond. I found a baby salamander in the swimming pool skimmer yesterday which I relocated to the pond. I saw him happily swimming and crawling up on a wet rock this morning. I have seen two chapparals, a big mother skunk, our four cats and some deer drinking from the stream. I've planted six more sego palms around the stream since this photo was taken. They are pups from the big plant by the front walk.
Pond from deck
From the west end of the deck we can enjoy the sounds of splashing water and four (or more) frogs singing at night.
La Ria
We replaced the bridge with stepping stones for a more natural look. Here the water rushes down the hill to the pond. One of our many hammocks is in the trees down below.
Spring and upper falls
Water flowing past Jussi (dark gray), Gronk (bright green), Splat (flat rock) and Rusty (iron toad). Try to tell which is the fake plant.
Spring
Water comes gushing out of the spring well past "Leap" and "Spot". Can you find them? Jussi is on the far right.

Leaving the Majestic Hotel
To the bus stop and train to the airport for our flight back to hot Austin. It was a lovely weekend.

Jake recieves plaudits from his aunt, while co-star Shawn Pfautsch hears about the connection with his grandfather, Lloyd.
Chicago at Sunset
During intermission I took a shot of 'Moon over Chicago.' The weather there was wonderfully cool and clear for early June.
Family on Lake Michigan
Before the performance of The Curse of the Crying Heart in the Theater on the Lake we posed for a family picture. Yes, there are some 'additional' family members hanging around.
Pooped in Millenium park
After miles on foot T & B found a shady spot under a tree for a bro-sis nap.
Sprite and Segway
A human statue sprinkeled pixie dust on passers by while a woman on a Segway made her way through the crowds. All the security personnel in the parks rode these vehicles.
Ducks
Momma and four babies followed our boat, eagerly eating the bits of muffin I tossed their way.
Locks
We took a sight seeing boat for a historical tour on the Chicago Canal and through these locks out on Lake Michigan.
Johnsons leave hotel
Warren and Susan joined the family for a long weekend in Chicago to see two of Jake's plays. He wrote one (Dave DaVinci Saves the Universe) and starred in the other (The Curse of the Crying Heart). We spent most of our time walking about downtown.
A and favorite cat Angel
Not to be left out, Angel followed us all the way across the meadow and through the woods to the creek.
Ethan and Buddy Ike
Ethan loves his buddy Ike. I think the feeling is mutual. They romped in the creek for over an hour.
Dinner at the Medici Room
After a hard day's work Lorn and Etha treat the crew to a feast in the Medici Room at Edgemere.

Etha supervises the distribution of China at Mel's house. The three sibs came away with some true treasures.

While waiting for our table at a Tex-Mex restaurant Etha thought she'd demonstrate her horsemanship, much to the delight of our family.

We spent two weekends in May in Dallas packing up the house so it can be shown for sale.
