Because of the Continental Divide to the east, all traffic departs and lands over the Roaring Fork River Valley to the west. There are dozens of large private jets parked at the airport, with one taking off or landing every few minutes.

First weekend in March is the big Bob Armstrong campout out at his ranch near Liberty Hill. Many musicians and other liberals gathered for fun and music late into the night. A rode shotgun and opened the gates for our early arrival.
