After a lunch of butter and sugar corn-on-the-cob and caprese salad we drove to the south coast and set up for a breezy afternoon at Hagis Beach near the Swan River outlet.

Chicago
A had the window seat enroute from Chicago to Providence and took this picture as we climbed out of O'Hare over the water front. 'Big John' (Handcock) stands taller than the other sky scrapers.
Early morning coffee
T enjoys his first cup on the back deck overlooking a cranberry bog. The weather is nice - 50's to 70's and partly cloudy.
We are collecting a list of places to go. Here is the first:

More than 15 local artists exhibit works for sale Aug. 19 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Aug. 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Christ the King Church, Rte. 151 in Mashpee. Some proceeds benefit church charities."
Swedish flag in Yarmouth
The Cape consists of one little village after another. On our way to East Dennis we passed this house with a Swedish flag and thought of our Swedish son Michael.

We watched a parade of sailboats and fishing trawlers come in to the harbor through the Cape Canal.

We started with fried calamari with chipotle sauce; A enjoyed the halibut, while I had scallops. The service and view were excellent.

Hello from Cape Cod!
We took the earlybird from Austin to Providence via Chicago, drove through Mass. over Bourne Bridge to the Cape. We had a delightful seafood meal here looking out on the Cape Canal.

Kelly cookin' chicken
Kelly threw a going away party for Ethan when he moved to Cupertino, California to take his new job at Apple Headquarters.
She cooked some delicious lemon chicken on two grills.

4 Cave Swallows at Mo
Their nest was located on top a light fixture in a cave-like breezeway between buildings.
Rills in the Guadalupe
Upstream from Mo Ranch the river rushes through channels cut in the rock. This is the site of the 'human dam' we build of bodies each year.
Johnson City Courthouse
On the way to Mo Ranch we spied this beautiful limestone turn-of-the-century courthouse, still in use.
