Duval Crossing

Just north of the street these giant pink granite blocks lie by the side of the tracks. They fell off a flat car in 1885 on their way from the quarry near Marble Falls to downtown Austin where they were to be cut to build the Texas state capitol. Because of their size they were never moved.
